InSpire - April/May 2015

"The greatest achievement was at first and for a time a dream. The oak sleeps in the acorn; the bird waits in the egg; and in the highest vision of the soul a waking angel stirs. Dreams are the seedlings of realities.” James Allen

What seeds will you be planting this Spring time?
What weeding or clearing out do you need to do first?
What dreams are working in you and deserve to be born and shown to the world for all to appreciate?

How can you use your yoga practice to support your process of unfolding any small or large dream that is working in you? And if you don’t have a dream, what about simply being the best You you can be?

How can you embody love, compassion, and empathy within yourself and then use your own voice and beingness to empower yourself and thus all beings?

We will use the Spring energy to dive into a practice that embodies a strong twisting theme - wringing out from the inside out. Through the moments in our practice where we feel unbalanced, ill at ease, or simply uncomfortable or irritable (to name a few), we will use the tools of breath awareness to return to our centre or Hara and focus on deep compassion and patience for ourselves.
This we will practice again and again and again….calm abidance….and may this process bring us closer to this embodiment of love for Self and others, thus being able to plant seeds that will be appreciated by the next generations to come.

Remember: how you feel is not what determines what you do. Don’t decide what to do based on how you feel - this is mindfulness.

According to Brian Johnson, Mindfulness is… “we can observe how we are showing up in the world”. How are you showing up in the world?

Where does accountability begin and end?
