Stories and Insights from the world of Yoga

Dear Friends,

The theme I would like to focus on in the Yin & Restore Series for the next 6 weeks is, "Listening from the Heart"

How can we find ways to alter the inner sensory landscape of our bodies, to navigate from a heartfelt sense of being, connected to ourselves, our communities and nature, in a loving way?

I look forward to sharing these practices with you.

These sessions will take place online and in-person (18:30 - 19:45)

To join online, register HERE
To join in-person, please email me.

Our Themes for the next 6 weeks:

14.11 - BODY LOVE

Compassion practice through awareness and movement of soft tissue and fascia release

21.11 - YIN & RESTORE FOR FATIGUE & EXHAUSTION

We will focus on soft mobilizations, restorative poses, a stabilizing breathing practice, & calming forward bends

28.11 - HEARTFELT PRACTICE

A Lung, Heart and Intestine meridian yin practice.
How can we transform fear into love, as we softly focus on the upper body and lower torso?

05.12 - OUR VITAL LYMPH SYSTEM

Improving lymph flow in the body systems through pulsing, squeezing, twisting, tapping, gently moving & mobilizing. All connected via the breath.

12.12 - THE POWER OF PASSIVE INVERSIONS

Gentle supported inversions for: healthy circulation, more energy, a clear mind, and spaciousness in the body

19.12 - THE ENERGY CENTRES IN YOGA NIDRA

Closing our year with a focus on: awareness of your inner life through somatic movements, embodied energy centre meditation and yoga nidra (deep sleep without sleeping).

See you on the mat!

Love
Fiona

Seva project

In Yoga, SEVA (Say-va) is a Sanskrit word for service - how can we serve others and give back to society. Through my yoga practice and teaching, I aim to give back to my childhood community in a small and meaningful way. Since I grew up in South Africa, this is where my heart lies in an attempt to empower young children in the Lidgetton community where it is often challenging to have hope and see the light. Our small Angel Ruth’s Soup Kitchen is a space where the children can go for a warm meal, as well as to a space where they know they are safe and cared for, can play freely and learn.

I offer a percentage of my teaching earnings back into this community, knowing that is is well used and goes directly to the source. To support the growing needs in the Lidgetton community, we set-up Lucky Beans e.V. in Germany in 2015. Through our charity status we are able to offer the possibility of EU citizens receiving a tax reclamation from any donation you may wish to make.
